International events receiving support from the Office of Academic Links (OAL) currently are as follows:

 

International Conference on New Perspectives for Outcome-based Evaluation and Research on Family and Children’s Services (7-8 September 2017)

Hosted by the Department of Social Work, about 150 professionals and students across the globe will join the conference to share research and advance knowledge development in outcome-based evaluation worldwide.

 

10th Conference of the International Forum on Urbanism (IFoU): The Entrepreneurial City (14-16 December 2017)

Hosted by the School of Architecture, this Conference will attract about 200 international planners and designers to deliberate on theories, design and practices related to the entrepreneurial city. IFoU is a network of universities, research institutes and knowledge centres with the task to strengthen the international collaboration in urbanism.

 

PLEA (Passive and Low Energy Architecture) 2018 — Smart and Healthy within the 2 Degree Limit (9-12 December 2018)

Hosted by the School of Architecture, this Conference aims to bring together about 250-300 international designers, academics, researchers, students, and professionals in the building industry in the pursuit of a better and more sustainable urban and built environment. It will address the different facets of smart and healthy living. It will be the first time that the PLEA Conference comes to Hong Kong.
