Tips for future students!

I feel fortunate to study abroad under the pandemic.  Ironically, I was unable to leave Hong Kong for travelling but I feel that I am closely tied to the city.  One thing that surprised me is the natural environment in Hong Kong.  I enjoyed the hikes and beaches.  I love the food here as well – the blend of east and west cuisine is amazing.

I had a great time in Hong Kong, especially considering that it was during a pandemic.  Public transport was unrivaled and made it easy to explore.  The whole region is beautiful and had many unexpected, hidden gems.  Before coming to Hong Kong, I had no idea about all the hikes so it was a pleasant surprise.  Some of my favourite hikes were Dragon’s Back and Kowloon Peak.

I stayed in the Four Points by Sheraton in Tung Chung.  I would recommend it to other students for quarantine.  It was clean, food was relatively good, and I had a comfortable stay there.  Staff was attentive and helpful.

It was a great experience in Hong Kong!  Once you get used to the pandemic restrictions, then you would not think a lot about it.

I stayed at Nina Hotel Island South (formerly L’hotel South Island) for quarantine.  It was great – large rooms and good food.

One of my favourite spots in Hong Kong is Ladies Market – I had never seen such a market!

Hong Kong is a safe place where I was able to go hiking and do activities easily.  The nature is one of my favourites in Hong Kong.  I had an amazing experience sleeping in the nature!

Don’t miss out the custard bun, pineapple bun, shrimp dumpling!
