CUHK pioneers effective preeclampsia prevention through pan-Asian study
|
A pan-Asian research study has demonstrated the effectiveness of an early screen-and-prevent strategy that can significantly reduce the risk of complications for pregnant women at high risk of preeclampsia. The multi-centre study, led by CU Medicine’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, found that low-dose aspirin lowered the risk of preterm preeclampsia by 41%.

New dinosaur discovered in Patagonia
|
A rare discovery by CUHK palaeontologists in Patagonia, South America, has unearthed a new species of carnivorous dinosaur. The prehistoric creature, namedKoleken inakayaliin the language of the local Tehuelche people, is the first of its kind to be discovered in the 69-million-year-old La Colonia Formation since 1985.

CUHK Vice-Chancellor chairs the APRU Annual Presidents’ Meeting in Auckland
|
CUHK Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rocky S. Tuan chaired the Annual Presidents’ Meeting of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities held at the University of Auckland in June. Joined by over 120 presidents and leaders of 61 APRU member universities, the meeting focused on addressing the impact of climate change on oceans and coastal communities.

Exemplifying sustainability leadership at Global Sustainable Development Congress
