Empowering global learning through Maastricht University’s Erasmus+ funding

Maastricht University (UM) in the Netherlands has teamed up with a select group of partner universities, including CUHK, to apply for Erasmus+ KA171 funding. This initiative aims to facilitate student exchanges and staff mobility, particularly supporting students with financial needs in enhancing their academic expertise and employability through study abroad. Eight CUHK students benefited from this funding for their semester exchange at UM during 2024-25.

Lai Ching Chan who participated in the exchange programme at University College Maastricht, shared, ‘Throughout my semester, I had the chance to interact with students from the Americas, Europe, and Asia. I never felt lonely in the dormitory, as we often cooked our home cuisines and shared meals together, fostering a warm and inviting community.’
