Call for Applications: UChicago Provost’s Global Faculty Awards (Deadline: 31 Jan 2025)
The University of Chicago (UChicago) is now calling for applications for the Provost’s Global Faculty Awards (PGFAs) for Hong Kong.
The PGFAs seed projects that mobilize UChicago faculty across borders to engage in transformative research partnerships with the global community. The grants provide funding of up to USD 30,000 for one year (1 July 2025-30 June 2026) to proposals for well-established partnerships, exploration of potential partnerships, or research projects. Activities eligible for support include:
- Academic events (conferences, workshops, seminars, planning meetings)
- Public events (lecture series, exhibitions, performances)
- Virtual activities (webinars, virtual meetings, interviews, creation of online resources)
- Exploratory trips to establish new partnerships
- Supplementary travel funding
- Training initiatives
- Research projects
Preference will be given to proposals that hold activities at/directly engage UChicago’s Yuen Campus in Hong Kong.
Interested applicants should identify a potential collaborator at UChicago. Applications should be made by a UChicago faculty member by 31 January 2025 (11:59 pm CST). Results will be announced in April 2025.
