CUHK, represented by Prof. Mai Har Sham, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research) and the Office of Academic Links, took part in the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) Annual General Meeting (AGM) hosted by the University of Pretoria in South Africa during 21-24 May 2024. Some 120 delegates from member universities, the African Research Universities Alliance, and other organisations joined the event and engaged in fruitful dialogues on equitable research partnerships, collaboration between academia and intergovernmental organisations, and nurturing research talents at the WUN Presidents Forum on the first day. This annual meeting also featured business meetings of the governance groups, research project highlights, a plenary, and two pre-conference workshops of the Global Africa Group and the Health Economics Group.

CUHK will be the proud host of the WUN AGM next year, 10 years after its hosting of the same occasion in 2015.
