Journey of cultural expansion and personal growth

Mr. Andy So, a Year 4 student majoring in Financial Technology, had a transformative exchange journey at the Technical University of Denmark this year. This immersive experience went beyond expanding his cultural perspective and gaining valuable insights into the interconnectedness of the global communities. It also nurtured his personal growth, fostering qualities of resilience, independence, and open-mindedness.

Apart from Denmark, Andy also explored the neighbouring countries, such as Germany, one of his favourite countries due to his keen interest in World War II, where he visited landmark historic sites including the Berlin Wall.

Through interacting with students from different cultural backgrounds, he has learnt to appreciate diversity. This exchange experience has sparked his passion for working in an international environment to make positive change on global issues. Before pursuing his ambitious dream, he will serve as a student ambassador in the CUHK International Summer School 2024 to engage with students from around the world.
