The following programmes are calling for applications:

ACU Fellowships

 

The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) Fellowships facilitate collaboration at a distance and the creation of valuable new partnerships between ACU member universities, including CUHK. Each ACU Fellowship offers academics or professional services staff at ACU member universities up to 5,000 GBP towards a research visit to an ACU member university in a different country for a maximum of 6 months between September 2024 and August 2025. The following is a list of fellowships that are open for application by academics and professional services staff at CUHK:

Application
Interested applicants must first identify and approach a collaborator at an ACU member universities outside Hong Kong. Applicants should register for a MyACU account and log in to the system to access the application form. Application should be submitted with the required information by 10 July 2024 at 00:00 HKT.

The 17th APRU Global Health Conference 2024 (Bangkok)

 

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) is calling for participation in its APRU Global Health Conference 2024 which will be co-hosted by APRU and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand during 4-6 November 2024. CUHK faculty members and students who are interested in global health issue, specifically in pressing global health challenges and exploring innovative solutions are encouraged to participate.

 

Theme: Harmonizing Human and Planetary Health Through Innovation, AI, and Digital Transformation
Date: 4-6 November 2024
Venue: Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

 

Call for Abstracts (Submission deadline: 31 July)

  • Submissions of abstracts to the following tracks are welcome:
    o Track A: Harnessing digital transformation and artificial intelligence for health
    o Track B: Health financing, geopolitics, bioethics, and education
    o Track C: Climate change, pollution, and planetary health
    o Track D: Health systems
    o Track E: Non-Communicable diseases
    o Track F: Communicable diseases
    o Track G: Others    
  • Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and should adopt either ‘Lessons Learned Abstracts’ or ‘Research Abstracts’ structure.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by an international review panel and the APRU 2024 Organizing Committee. The highest-scoring abstracts will be selected for oral presentation in sessions or as posters to be displayed on the website and on-site.
  • Abstracts should be submitted through the Abstract Submission Portal.
