Strengthening global ties: Receiving high-level delegations

In April, the Office of Academic Links hosted several high-level delegations from overseas which fortified partnerships and advanced collaborative research and educational initiatives.

A 7-member delegation from the University of Queensland led by President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deborah Terry visited CUHK to learn about the University’s technology translation and incubation efforts. The delegates also met with their counterparts and explored potential collaborations in business and engineering, particularly student mobility opportunities.

Dr. David Lassner, President of the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UH), paid a courtesy visit to CUHK and exchanged updates with CUHK Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rocky S. Tuan. During his visit, Dr. Lassner met with UH’s students who are currently on exchange at CUHK and heard about their rewarding exchange experiences. The two presidents also renewed the general collaboration MOU and student exchange agreement which were first signed in 2006.
