📢Call For Participation: The 17th APRU Global Health Conference 2024 (Bangkok)

The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) is calling for participation in its APRU Global Health Conference 2024 which will be co-hosted by APRU and Chulalongkorn University, Thailand during 4-6 November 2024. CUHK faculty members and students (full-time undergraduates and graduates) who are interested in global health issue, specifically in pressing global health challenges and exploring innovative solutions are encouraged to participate.

Theme: Harmonizing Human and Planetary Health Through Innovation, AI, and Digital Transformation
Date: 4-6 November 2024
Venue: Chulalongkorn University, Thailand

 

1.  Abstracts (Submission deadline: 31 July)

  • Submissions of abstracts to the following tracks are welcome:
    o Track A: Harnessing digital transformation and artificial intelligence for health
    o Track B: Health financing, geopolitics, bioethics, and education
    o Track C: Climate change, pollution, and planetary health
    o Track D: Health systems
    o Track E: Non-Communicable diseases
    o Track F: Communicable diseases
    o Track G: Others    
  • Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and should adopt either ‘Lessons Learned Abstracts’ or ‘Research Abstracts’ structure.
  • Abstracts will be reviewed by an international review panel and the APRU 2024 Organizing Committee. The highest-scoring abstracts will be selected for oral presentation in sessions or as posters to be displayed on the website and on-site.
  • Abstracts should be submitted through the Abstract Submission Portal.

 

2. Student Poster Contest (Submission deadline: 30 June)

  • Applicants must be full-time undergraduate or graduate students at the time of submission.
  • Post-doctoral students are not eligible. However, medical students are eligible to apply as graduate students.
  • The poster must be submitted with an abstract of up to 300 words related to broadly global health and unpublished at the time of submission.
  • A prize of US$500 will be awarded for the best undergraduate and best graduate posters (one in each category).

  • Interested applicants should submit their entries to the online submission portal. Applicants are advised to send a copy of their application to the Office of Academic Links (c/o Ms. LAI Ching Yee; chingyee@cuhk.edu.hk) for record.
