The APRU Annual Presidents’ Meeting gathers university leaders to discuss actions for sustainability.
The Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU) Annual Presidents’ Meeting (APM) 2023 was held in Hong Kong during 25-27 June. Themed ‘Solutions for a Sustainable Future: From Invention to Implementation’, the meeting attracted some 150 presidents and senior administrators from 51 member universities to deliberate collaborative actions for tackling sustainability challenges, such as research on low-emission energy production and green technologies and the role of higher education in providing research-based solutions for future generations. Taking this opportunity, CUHK Vice-Chancellor Prof. Rocky S. Tuan hosted a reception for senior delegates of APRU member universities at his residence to strengthen ties.
