Sawasdee Ka! Cultural immersion in Thailand

‘The sky is always in pink!’ This was our Year 3 Hospitality and Real Estate student Mandy Huang’s impression of Thailand.
Mandy had an enjoyable time studying at Mahidol University International College in Thailand in last semester. The campus is huge and students can borrow bikes for free. And when you need a break, you will find coffee shops everywhere on the campus to satisfy Thai’s craving for coffee and milk tea.
One of the memorable courses which Mandy took was ‘Cultural Heritage Management’. She learnt about the Thai culture and history including its religion and lifestyle through lectures and field trips, and she worked well with the local students who are always enthusiastic. Mandy also had a sad experience with the passing of a professor while on exchange. ‘It was with great sorrow to learn that the professor had passed away after six weeks of classes. He had provided extra support to me after knowing that I am an exchange student. I will always remember him,’ Mandy shared.
