Prof. Jing Song of the Gender Studies Programme at CUHK hosted a 2-day international conference on ‘Gender and (Im)mobility in Uncertain Times’ during 11-12 March 2021. Supported by the Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) and co-organised by the Gender Studies Programme and the Diversity and Inclusion Office, the conference formed part of Prof. Song’s project titled ‘Women’s Mobility: Negotiating Work and Family Spheres in Asia’ which was awarded by the WUN Research Development Fund in 2018. The conference featured 16 speakers from 12 universities (including five WUN universities and seven other partners) who presented and discussed their latest research on workplace dynamics, family relations, gender norms, and social inequalities in public and private spheres across societies under the pandemic. The conference attracted over 120 participants locally and internationally.
