Planting the seeds for future researchers
Faculty members from all disciplines are welcome to host international students for summer research attachments under SURP.
The Summer Undergraduate Research Programme (SURP) has been serving as a platform to promote internationalisation at CUHK by hosting international undergraduate students to undertake short-term research attachments on campus during the summer. Since its inception, the programme has been successful in promoting CUHK’s research strengths. Over the years, joint papers between SURP students and their CUHK supervisors have been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented in international conferences. Besides, bright-minded students from around the world have been attracted to pursue postgraduate studies at the University.
In 2019, SURP will take place during 23 June-18 August and will soon open for applications. Faculty members from all academic disciplines who are enthusiastic to groom students to become future researchers and are devoted to provide intensive training to students are welcome to join the programme as host supervisors. Interested faculty members are invited to contact Ms. Olivia Kwok for details.
