CUHK is the Only WUN Member in Hong Kong

The Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) is an exclusive network of 21 research-led universities across five continents with a mission to create new, multilateral opportunities for international collaboration in research and graduate education. CUHK joined the Network in 2011 as the only member university in Hong Kong and has since then taken an active role in it. WUN fosters collaborative, interdisciplinary research in four key areas known as the Global Challenges that address issues of global significance: Responding to Climate Change, Public Health (NCD), Global Higher Education and Research, and Understanding Cultures. It also promotes early career researchers mobility for the purposes of advancing their knowledge and skills, and expanding their networks for future academic success.

On being a part of WUN, Prof. Joseph Sung, Vice-Chancellor and President of CUHK and Chair of the WUN Partnership Board remarked, “CUHK is deeply honoured to be the only member university of WUN in Hong Kong, a Network which comprises some very prestigious research universities from around the world. With a similar vision in research and higher education, we will make use of this strategic platform to engage in multilateral partnerships and expand research capacity to better serve society”.
